DC++ Hub |
|
What is DC++? On the TC Network, the total internet bandwidth is limited, however on DC++, you can download as much as you want because it doesn’t use the internet. Enjoy! |

PC Installation Instructions: Windows Download—(download the latest stable installer) Step 2: Install the file you just downloaded. Step 3: Open up DC++ and click on the yellow star at the top of the window. Now click “New” towards the bottom of the screen. Put TC Hub in the name box. Put 192.168.150.15 in the address box. In the description box, you can write a short description of what you have to share or you can leave it blank. It should look like the picture on the left. Click OK. You should see “TC Hub” show up on the list on the screen now. Check the box next to “TC Hub” if it isn’t checked already. |

Step 4: Click File at the top left and then select settings.
In the “General” tab, select a nick name for yourself, entering an email address is optional, as is the description. Select 100 for line speed. For “Connection Settings” select “Direct Connection” if you are plugged into the TC wired connection. If you are connected through TC wireless, select “Firewall with UPnP”. (For this setting, your computer must have UPnP enabled. If it isn’t enabled, read “Enabling UPnp in Windows XP” on this page.) If you have a router in your room that you use to connect, select “Firewall with UPnP”. (In this scenario, your computer and your router must have UPnP enabled.) Finally, if all else fails, select “Firewall (passive, last resort)”. This setting is the slowest, and you won’t be able to download off of anybody else that is set to passive. I strongly suggest finding a way to make one of the other settings work. In the “Downloads” tab, select a directory where you want to download files and where you want to keep unfinished files. This is the folder in which everything you download will be stored. Also, make sure both “Limits” settings are set to 0. In the “Sharing” tab, click “Add Folder” to add folders that you want to share with the TC DC++ community. Minimum share size is 1 GB. PLEASE SHARE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AS THIS MAKES THE HUB MORE USEFUL FOR EVERYONE. Also, make sure you have at least 4 upload slots. Step 5: Leave everything else the way it was before. Turn off DC++, and then turn it back on. It should now automatically connect to the hub. On the right hand side you will see a list of people that are on. Double click any one of them to see what they are sharing. Alternatively, you can use the search function (the looking glass at the top of the screen).
