work instead of worrying about social networks and bills.  Overall, TC provides students with a more affordable version of university dormitories and less hassle and a better social aspect than an apartment, and more amenities than either.

Announcements:

  • Welcome new residents!

From the tech guy:

  • If your internet is not working, leave a note in front of my door (rm. 405).  Keep in mind there is no wireless coverage on the east side of the building, so you will have to use a cable to connect.
  • If your AIM, bspace, and some other web sites/services are not working, download and install the Berkeley Cisco VPN.  The download link and all instructions are available by clicking here.  Please bear in mind that if you have a mac, than there are additional install steps required (look under the "Configure VPN Service" title on the website referenced above).
  • Anyone who has a wireless router can only use it if they enable wireless encryption and make sure that it cannot be shared with those outside of the TC community.
  • If you are interested in using DC++ to share music, pictures, movies, etc.. over the TC network, click here for instructions.
